Education Services

As part of our mission to offer training and support for the professional installers and dealers, the IWFA is dedicated to providing the industry with needed education materials and programs at all levels.  Education materials will continue being developed to serve as an effective process, in continued support of the professional dealer in a growing marketplace.

Flat Glass Accreditation Program

The IWFA Flat Glass training/testing program is designed to educate dealers in the specific area of architectural film applications and properties.  The examination may be used to gain recognition and verify knowledge of flat glass film principles, properties and applications.  It may also be used to give consumers an additional and improved means to evaluate a professional dealer.  Passing the final examination may improve dealer credibility, as a specific body of knowledge has been measured and tested.

What does taking the examination mean?  Passing the IWFA flat glass training exam means that you have acquired the practical and technical knowledge deemed necessary by the IWFA for competency in the flat glass market.  It is not certification, but a an education credit recognized by the IWFA.

Who is eligible for this exam?  Any professional window film dealer or installer who has been employed in the window film industry is eligible.

How to register for the exam?   Examinations are administered at locations in the U.S. and Canada, at sites designated for this purpose by the IWFA.  To register for the examinations, you must contact the IWFA at (540) 666-4932 to confirm location and date, as well as arrange for pre-payment of the fee.

You must be pre-registered and fee pre-paid to take the exam and all registrations must be made at least thirty days prior to the exam date.  You will not be permitted to take the exam unless you are pre-registered by the required time frame and no registrations will be permitted at the exam site.
