Education Services
As part of our
mission to offer training and support for the professional installers and dealers, the
IWFA is dedicated to providing the industry with needed educational materials and programs
at all levels. Educational materials will continue to be developed to
serve as an effective
process in continued support of the professional dealer in a growing marketplace.
Any professional window film dealer or installer who is employed in the window
film industry is eligible to enroll in the accreditation programs.
The Solar Control program is a prerequisite for the Safety and
Security program.
Flat Glass Accreditation Program: Solar Control Specialist
The IWFA Flat Glass training/testing program is designed to educate
dealers in the specific area of architectural film applications and properties. The
examination may be used to gain recognition and verify knowledge of flat glass film
principles, properties and applications. It may also be used to give consumers an
additional and improved means to evaluate a professional dealer. Passing the final
examination may improve dealer credibility, as a specific body of knowledge has been
measured and tested. The Solar Control Accreditation test is a
prerequisite to the Advanced Solar Control Accreditation test.
Safety
And Security Specialist
This training/testing program is
designed to educate experienced dealers and installers in the the specific area of safety and security film
applications and properties. The examination may be used to gain recognition and verify
knowledge of safety and security film principles, properties and applications. It may also
be used to give consumers an additional and improved means to evaluate a professional
dealer. Passing the final examination may improve dealer credibility, as a specific body
of knowledge has been measured and tested.
Automotive Accreditation Program
This training/testing program is
designed to educate dealers and installers in the specific area of
automotive window film applications and properties. The examination may be used to gain
recognition and verify knowledge of automotive film principles, properties and
applications. Passing the final examination may improve dealer credibility, as a specific
body of knowledge has been measured and tested.
W hat does taking these
examinations mean?
Passing
the IWFA safety & security training/exam, the solar control specialist training/exam,
or the automotive training/exam means that you have acquired the practical and technical
knowledge deemed necessary by the IWFA for competency in the market. It is not certification; it is education credit recognized by the IWFA.
